It’s a beautiful quote by Lois McMaster Bujold. It makes me stop and realize that I’m lonely here. Really lonely.
i missed my friends in omaha a lot today. so many times i say i would love to move back to omaha, but the truth is, i would so love to move back to a time when everyone would come to my apartment. when we would sit on the couch and watch the office, and monk. i miss sheree sitting in the round chair in my room and us talking into the wee hours of morning. i miss todd ringing the buzzer 50 times in a rapid succession because the omaha winter was too rough for the west coastie. i miss tasha coming in with a target bag to show us what she had just bought. this could have happened anywhere, it didn’t have to be omaha, it just had to be with them.
